In your courses and throughout your academic career you will need to cite your sources. Citing sources shows where you found your research, gives you credibility, and gives credit to the scholars that did the research you are using.
In Political Science, you will primarily use Chicago style.
Each citation style has specific requirements for citing sources. Always ask your instructor or check your syllabus to find out what citation style you will use for a course.
